7 comments for “BYU NT Commentary Conference

  1. What is Maurine Proctor’s relevance to this conference? She’s introducing and conducting both sessions.

  2. Ben, Maurine was asked to be the MC this year. Last year the group invited Carole Mikita of KSL. Maurine’s an accomplished author, editor, and publisher. She is interested in this group’s academic work.

  3. Abu, the Luke commentary (“The Testimony of Luke,” by S. Kent Brown) will be available as an e-book in a couple of weeks, just before the conference.
Each member (or sometimes two, as a team) of the group is working on certain books. Richard Draper and Michael Rhodes wrote the Revelation book (“The Revelation of John the Apostle,” made available as an e-book in 2013), and I believe they are now working on 1 and 2 Corinthians and later will write on Hebrews. You can see more under each participant’s bio at byuntc.org, under About Us. Each book will be published as it is ready. Print editions are planned for the future.
