I’m spending time moving my family into our new home and getting ready for Christmas, so here’s a song from Dustin Kensrue’s Christmas album This Good Night Is Still Everywhere.
It’s not the usual sound, but that’s part of why I like it so much. (And now I’m going to get some Mannheim Steamroller going…)
Great video. Great lyrics.
Christmas does mean war.
War on the same ol’ tired exercise of man attempting to become right with God based upon what he does…or does not do.
God is looking for faith. For trust in what He has done in Christ Jesus…and upon the Cross…for us…the ungodly and undeserving.
The gospel is for the brokenhearted. For those who have nothing to offer. The law is for the proud.
The birth of Jesus was the beginning of the end of religion. There will always be lots of religion (there always has been). But even Jesus s aid, “When the son of man returns to earth with His holy angels, will He find faith?” That is something else altogether.
