Welcome, Greg!
Wonderful! I look forward to his post (or posts) very much.
Am reading Prince’s book as we speak, and am really enjoying it.

My library ordered this book for me over a month ago, but it still hasen’t arrived. So, I’m still looking forward to reading it. Now I can also look foward to reading some good posts.
Measure: Both the University of Utah Press and the authors underestimated the demand for the book. We apologize to those potential readers who have had a difficult time finding a copy. In addition to bookstores, several online sites carry it. We are trying to avoid the problem we encountered with the first printing, where there was a gap of several weeks between the time it sold out and the second printing was shipped.
Welcome!! I just finished reading DOMATROMM (not sure how to short-hand the title of that one) and really loved it. I’ve been an avid reader of biographies of Church Presidents and this one was especially good. I realize this was an incredible amount of work and am very grateful that the two of you spent the time to get it done. Much of the book was so inspiring–I confess that I knew little of President McKay before reading the book. There were also many sections of the book that I’m still trying to get my mind around. And I must say I was truly shocked to find entire chapters on the Church Educational System, the Church’s building program, and its Broadcasting activities –and that they were each fun to read!
I hope you don’t feel obligated to spend all your time here at T&S discussing the biography (although I’d love to see a little) as I’m sure you have many interesting things to say. I look forward to your posts!
I for one would love to hear about his break from the traditional “look” of a church president and modern-day prophet. One person alluded to it in comment #111 here, but I am sure you know far more of the specifics.
Wow. Very impressive Greg. Congratulations. What were the printing sizes, if that’s not too crass a question. I’m always interested when a more scholarly Mormon studies tome makes it big.
So we don’t get too fragmented, let me respond to these comments on the main link, “David O. McKay and the Rise of Modern Mormonism.”
Oooh, cool. That one-click feature at Amazon is pretty slick. My copy should arrive soon.
I, too, am loving this book. Thanks for having Mr. Prince on Times and Seasons!!!
I tried to get a copy last week, and by local book store was sold out. I wonder what printing this book is in?
Greg told me last week that the book was in its 3rd printing.
