I have to apologize for not thanking Melissa Proctor for her excellent guest-blogging. I was hoping to provoke her into another post or two, but she is ever-so-diligently preparing for qualifying exams and writing a dissertation prospectus, and has steadfastly refused all of my wiles.
So, hearty, if somewhat belated, thanks to Melissa for some quietly thought-provoking posts. If you’re looking for a break from all the war talk, I’d suggest a re-reading of hers. (I’m still trying to figure out what to think about “Deseret.”)
I too would like to thank Melissa. There were many thought provoking posts and I enjoyed reading each of them.
I, too, Kristine am still intrigued by the Deseret post. I have been doing some personal research because of that post.
Thanks to Melissa for her thoughtful posts and especially for the fact that they got us away from the tired topics we cannot seem to give up and on to new and interesting ones.
Agreed, Melissa’s posts were top-notch, and her commentary as well. And good for my personal spiritual development as well — just when I think that I’m pretty smart and well-spoken (something that I think far too often), I read a post by someone like Melissa and realize that I still have a long way to go.
So how come Melissa doesn’t show up on the list of Guest Blogger’s posts? I was going to take another look at the Deseret thread, but I can’t find it now.
Undoubtedly because some slacker hadn’t updated the list recently. Hmm, it looks better now.
110% agreed. Melissa has a fine, fine mind. While I know her personally only slightly, our conversations & her performance here at T&S convince me that she has major contributions to make in the ivory tower & the kingdom.
Me too.
Thanks everyone for your kind comments and for the opportunity to guest-blog here at T and S.
I’m sure I’ll still poke my nose in here and there at T and S despite my good intentions to cut back :)
